The second generation prototype of the Vector, called the K10, was announced at 2011 SHOT Show. The name Kriss comes from a Southeast Asian dagger with a flame-shaped blade. It was an experimental weapon under advanced stages of development at that time. In the spring of 2007, TDI announced their development of a new submachine gun.
